Ammonia plant emission reductions

Team members at the Ammonia Plant

The net zero transition requires new ways of working and a shift in mindset. WesCEF encourages its team members across the organisation to innovate and help achieve its targets.

Innovative thinking and a waste-minimisation mindset by the WesCEF Operational and Process Engineering teams led to the identification and execution of operational improvements at the CSBP ammonia production plant in Kwinana, Western Australia. These improvements have delivered a $1.2 million saving in operational costs per annum and an emissions reduction of 7,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent per annum.

These and other initiatives raised by teams help to de-risk and accelerate the achievement of WesCEF’s emission reduction targets while also generating financial benefits. They reflect a culture focused on continuous improvement, operational excellence and carbon awareness.
